Mark and I worked together on the Steering Committee for a large technological platform transformation program for which Mark was the Executive Sponsor. I enjoyed working with Mark from day 1 because of how well he understands the complex intersections of business needs and technological capabilities. He was instrumental in helping to define the business-facing features of the application, and making the tough decisions about strategic product functionality. Mark is a leader who instills confidence in his teams. I always felt empowered to make the right operational decisions for the program because Mark would have my back! That kind of loyalty is rare in corporate America. I miss working with Mark, and hope our paths cross again.
